HOME is where the heart is

«A turtle carries its home on its back, as humans we carry our home in our heart.
The word "home" has a wide variety of connotations. To some, home is merely a place where basic needs are addressed. To others, home is the foundation from which they draw their strength and tranquility. Still, others view home as a place inexorably linked to family.

Yet all these definitions of home imply somewhere we can be ourselves and are totally accepted. There, we feel safe enough to let down our guard, peaceful enough to really relax, and loved enough to want to return day after day. However, these qualities need not be linked to a single space or any space at all.

Home is where the heart is and can be the locale you live in, a community you once lived in, or the country where you plan to live someday. Or home can be a feeling you carry inside yourself, wherever you are.

The process of evolution can require you to undergo transformations that uproot you. Moving from place to place can seem to literally divide you from the foundations you have come to depend on.

Since your home is so intimately tied to the memories that define you, you may feel that you are losing a vital part of yourself when you leave behind your previous house, city, state, or country. And as it may take some time before you fashion new memories, you may feel homeless even after settling into your new abode.

To carry your home with you, you need only become your own foundation. Doing so is merely a matter of staying grounded and centered, and recognizing that the pleasures you enjoyed in one place will still touch your heart in another if you allow them.

Your home can be any space or state of being that fulfills you, provided you are at peace with yourself and your surroundings.

A person can feel like home to you, as can seasons and activities. If you feel disconnected from what you once thought of as home, your detachment may be a signal that you are ready to move one.

Simply put, you will know you have found your home when both your physical environment and energetic surroundings are in harmony with the individual you are within. »

tomorrow never knows...

Tomorrow Never Knows
Turn off your mind relax and float down stream
It is not dying, it is not dying
Lay down all thoughts, surrender to the void,
It is shining, it is shining.
Yet you may see the meaning of within
It is being, it is being
Love is all and love is everyone
It is knowing, it is knowing
And ignorance and hate mourn the dead
It is believing, it is believing
But listen to the colour of your dreams
It is not leaving, it is not leaving
So play the game "Existence" to the end
Of the beginning, of the beginning

The importance of Protective Light

Noustha Koeckhoven

There are times when we may know of someone who is in great need and wants help, but we may feel at a loss about how best to help them. It is at such times that we can ask for help in surrounding them with support and protection, just like the pioneers once circled their wagons in the middle of unknown territory.

Whether this means turning to an already established community such as a service organization or gathering support from diverse sources, a group of people can be brought together to help an individual or an entire community.

It doesn't always take money to help someone either--cooking, cleaning, driving, fund raising, or offering emotional support are all valuable and have the added benefit of the closeness of the human touch.

In any case, the universe sends angels in the form of willing friends or strangers to gather their individual lights to surround those in need with the warmth of compassion

Some people may have difficulty accepting or even recognizing aid when it appears in unexpected guises from unlikely sources join our energy with those in circle, we become part of something that is more powerful than the individuals within it.

Whether this means turning to an already established community such as a service organization or gathering support from diverse sources, a group of people can be brought to

All we can do is to follow our inner guidance, give when we are moved to do so and shine our light to the best of our ability

As we join our energy with those in the circle, we become part of something that is larger and more powerful than the individuals within it

When we act as part of a community of service like this, we are reminded that we are not only assisting an individual or select group in the moment, but we are serving the greater good

We are creating a better world, and can rest assured that help will be there for us as well.

As we offer our own light to the collective glow to help someone through a time of darkness, all of our lights become brighter.

We can live every day from this place of light, knowing the freedom from fear and worry that allows us to receive and share the protective and supportive light of life.

Choose LOVE

Carol Gold

«Love is often presented as the opposite of fear, but true love is not opposite anything.

True love is far more powerful than any negative emotions, as it is the environment in which all things arise.
Negative emotions are like sharks swimming in the ocean of love. All things beautiful and fearful, ugly and kind, powerful and small, come into existence, do their thing, and disappear within the context of this great ocean. At the same time, they are made of the very love in which they swim and can never be separated.

We are made of this love and live our whole lives at one with it, whether we know it or not.

It is only the illusion that we are separate from this great love that causes us to believe that choosing anything other than love makes sense or is even possible.

In the relative, dualistic world of positive and negative, darkness and light, male and female, we make choices and we learn from them

This is exactly what we are meant to be doing here on earth. Underlying these relative choices, though, is the choice to be conscious of what we are, which is love, or to be unconscious of it.

When we choose to be conscious of it, we choose love. We will still exist in the relative world of opposites and choices and cause and effect, and we will need to make our way here, but doing so with an awareness that we are all made of this love will enable us to be more playful, more joyful, more loving and wise, as we make our way.
Ultimately, the choices we make will shed light on the love that makes us all one, enabling those who have forgotten to return to the source

This world makes it easy to forget this great love, which is part of why we are here. We are here to remember and, when we forget to remember again, to choose love.»

命 (mìng)

命 (mìng) — Fate, Life, Order
"The world is like a large furnace; fate is like the blazing fire. All living things are like the bronze being refined within.” —Famous line of Chinese poetry.
In oracle bone inscriptions, the word 命 (mìng) comprises two parts: the top half represents a mouth facing downwards, and the bottom half symbolizes a kneeling person. In other words, when someone of higher status speaks to someone of lower status, the latter person must respectfully listen.
In life we may encounter unfortunate events that go against our wishes. Ancient Chinese culture held that one's fate is preordained
This is why the bottom half of 命 is a person in a kneeling position—it represents the insignificance of man and the dignity of the Creator. However, this refers to more than man's pitiful state.
The Analects of Confucius contain this saying:
"When hardships occur, do not blame the fate bestowed upon you by God, and do not resent the people around you. Although you are in an unfavorable situation, you can still strive to elevate your life's realm. What divine beings look at is your heart."
In Chinese culture, the kneeling posture symbolizes more than just inferiority; it also stands for humility and introspection.
Facing fate, one can choose to be helpless, or valiant.''
